"Cut your own wood and it will warm you twice" -- Chinese proverb
Portrait of me by Sigal Segev |
My wife and I live in Haifa, Israel. I mess with math, computers, Aikido and music. I occasionally write in my (rather technical) Livejournal blog.
I use GNU/Linux, Emacs, Lisp and C. I write code for various free software projects. I'm a volunteer at the FSF Compliance Lab. I've prepared some lectures for Haifux, my local LUG: "The Digital Darkroom using the GIMP"(source), "GPLv3"(source) and "About Lisp"(source). I used to run a darkroom for fun and profit. I like wet, chemical photography and old rangefinder cameras. I study Aikido under Eitan Ben-Meir and Lucian Dollinger senei. I enjoy the exercise, concentration and comradeship. I collect music with eclectic taste and play guitar. |
